Costume ideas for a party?

I’m going to a costume party with the theme "Comics and Cartoons". I was hoping to go as a superheroine-type. Preferably a brunette. (And I’m planning on making it myself, as well)
The best idea I’ve had so far is Wonder Woman, but I probably wouldn’t be the only one there. I’d like to be more original, but fun is more important.
Any suggestions, or other directions I should take this?

    When it comes to making superhero costumes, there’s a lot to choose from.

    I wouldn’t go ask wonder woman just because EVERYONE does that!

    Try something original. You can also make your own superhero if you want to be creative.

    The basis for almost every superhero costume is a pair of tights, a turtle-neck or long sleeve leotard, and a cape. Make a little insignia on the chest and you’re ready to go fight crime, or go to a costume party in your case.

    omg go as picachu from pokemon
    it was so cute
    she made yellow ears with black tips kinda like cat ears
    and wore a yellow top with yellow shorts
    and yellow thigh high leggings
    and made her cheeks super red
    it was so adorable

    I would do some research on the older cartoons/ comics like back in the day when it all began and then add a little tweeking to update the cartoon/comic
