Is the Saturday (3 days) after Halloween too late after Halloween for costume party? Any party ideas?
I want to have a Halloween/Birthday party on Saturday the 3rd. Is 3 days after Halloween a dumb idea since it’s over already?
Also, please let me know any ideas to make it a fun adult party!
Thanks
Sorry I didn’t specify, the birthday is November 3rd…so if we don’t do the Halloween thing on the 3rd, we will just have a regular party on the 10th.
Thanks!
Actually, it may be the best time to have it because the costumes, decorations, food, etc. all go on clearance. This means you can go all-out. I would talk to a few friends and see what they think of it though before committing. If you do decide to do it then, I suggest you hit the stores immediately on Nov. 1 or the evening of the 31st to get the good clearance stuff before it’s gone.
Honestly it is kinda late, If I were you I’d just throw a decent party and tell your guests not to go overboard with the costumes, it’ll just be wierd.
but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun
Yes. But to each his own.
It is a bit late. After holidays are over the parties should be too. Anything kinda sexy is a good theme for a party and the guests can dress appropriately. It’ll kinda be like Halloween without the Halloween theme.
IMO I would definately do the party the weekend before Halloween. People would be more inclined to participate in the whole costume party theme. Plus, it would be more fun to go to a Halloween party before Halloween than after because it kind of gets you more excited about the real holiday.
The good thing about being an adult is that we don’t really need too much. Me, I enjoy a good martini, great company, and a hospitable host.
Just my opinion
i dont think its to late. your party should be not to scary but just halloween perfect make a bowl of punch wuth like cherrys or something in it so it looks like blood with stuff in it or put little plastic bugs in it. if the partys big vote for best costume. make prizes.
No way, most people have them either the weekend before, or the weekend after…do it!
Hi,
I’d do the party the weekend before Halloween as well. Don’t stress too much about party ideas – all you need is some good food/snacks and music along with good company. Everyone will have a great time.
