Organizing A Western Themed Party
Are you considering planning a Western themed party? If so, let me give you some tips. You should set your imagination free and come up with some original ideas to get your party swinging!
Get ready to round em up cowboy style with my suggestions for a perfect party!
Invitations
The first thing on the agenda is to set the dat of the party and then to spread the word with smoke signals. You can always buy invitation cards, but why not have some fun creating the invites yourself. How about a wanted poster that can be sent either by mail or email? Another great idea is to shape the invitations in the shape of a horseshoe. Check on the internet for some western themed templates which you could use.
Decorating The Venue
You’ve sent out the invitations and now you need to think about turning your home or venue into the perfect Wild West setting. Again, if you’re feeling creative, you can design some of your own decorations. But you’ll definitely be able to buy some online. You can use any of the classic cowboy accessories as decorations such as horseshoes, cowboy hate, wanted posters and so on. You can also buy Western style cut-outs giving directions, saloon and barn door covers and large posters of scenes such as saloon bar bottles and desert scenes that can be stuck to the walls.
Feeding Your Cowboys And Cowgals
Your venue is looking perfect and now you need to provide food to feed all your cowboys and gals. Cover a trestle table with a red and white checked cloth ready for some prairie style food. Perpetual favorite food items are fried chicken, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, chilli dogs and let’s not forget hamburgers! Beer and tequila are essential drinks for the adult cowboys and lemonade and root beer always go down well with the kids.
Look the Part
The last thing is to make sure everyone gets into the spirit and dresses in the cowboy style. The one essential item is a cowboy hat. Other items which add to the image are cowboy boots, checked shirts and neckerchiefs.
