    So it’s ok for girls to dress as guys (because being a guy is a good thing!) but it’s not ok for a boy to dress as a girl? Why not?

    I’d love to hear someone explain this and still claim to believe in female equality.

    @cisjay {These liberal women kill me, If they had their way every man would be a faggot}

    Evidently, they are getting their way. And then they wonder why they are so sexually frustrated.

    I have to agree with the mom. Mine would have told me to wear the costume I made her order especially if i were already in the car,now if she saw true fear in my eyes or if i were freaking out a bit she would cave but otherwise no she would have told me to go inside and i would do the same thing. & any1 who thinks he is too young to understand gender stereotypes they should consider that he was in a pretty controlled setting were every1 was of the age that those expectations dont matter yet

    I wish my mom made me a Daphne costume for Halloween when I was a kid…

    So, hang on… this is a little kid… who adores Scooby-Doo as much as I did when I was his age, went as Daphne, who is a beloved cartoon character from a show that the kid loves. He’s not even 8, so how would he understand that kind of stuff?
    I don’t see anything wrong with that.

    people run around and do drugs, but yet a kid goes to a party dressed as a cartoon character and it makes the news and parents get upset? WTF?

    As puritans – be afraid of gender, and sex and from that fear criple your ability to ratonally learn comprehend and act upon these two fundamentally core issues of humanity.

    We only exist – our primary purpose in existence, has been to pass on our genes, and perpetuate the species. Sex and gender arent separate issues outside of how we live, and what we believe, they’re not just embeded, they’re the god damned foundation upon whch everyything else is based.

    Ignorance of that is catastrophic.

    so if there was a cartoon show about rapists, and a kid wanted to dress as one of them, then this would be ok,because he looks cute??

    May 10th, 2011 at 15:02 | #18

    Okay its a phase if you stop him it could actually cause problems later on in life and he could cross dress. Let him get over it in his own time and play dress up if he wants.

    @camaxtle there would never be a cartoon show about a rapist just like there would never be a cartoon aimed to children about a cocaine snorting feind.

    @seonidh well its the same thing,i mean for a drug addict or someone who uses drugs as a way to scape reality or as a good thing it would be okay because in his/her world thats a normal thing….and in the rapist head its a normal thing to rape,so whats the difference and whats normal or not????i mean gay ppl are watched by many as a dissease such as drug addicts and rapists, for me they are one of the same,i respect drug addicts and gay ppl ;and rapists are victims of a sick society.

    @seonidh Even if they don’t stifle it he might grow up to be a cross dresser. I know I did. However stifling it almost definitely cause problems.

    June 22nd, 2011 at 06:56 | #23

    @satanisthetruegod666 yes its harmless kids stuff they could cause problems making such a big deal over nothing. Gender is fluid and later on in life he may discover that he enjoyed it like you do. Even then if he does cross-dress is his choice and he will hurt no one doing it if he chooses later on.
